The "hot" topic for today is the new GR GT (pun intended). While most people are focusing on the power, we wanted to talk about the potential cooling systems and how Toyota is using the car’s aerodynamics to improve cooling performance.

Press release photos:
The first thing that stands out is the Charge-Air-Coolers. The Hot-Vee turbo setup gives a very nice straight shot into the charge air coolers similar to the BMW S63/S68 setup. There are definite concerns with the plastic tank and crimp on gasket design when thinking about upping the power. Toyota will likely make a very efficient system for the factory boost levels, but we all know it won’t be long before these things are cranking out 1000+ HP. We can’t wait to get our hands on one.

The large 3 openings in the front bumper means there should be ample airflow for a variety of coolers. We expect to see auxiliary radiators on both sides of the bumper and a large center stack for the radiator, turbocharger heat exchanger, and A/C condenser. The extra ducting on top of the hood is a great addition for evacuating the hot air from the engine bay while improving downforce.

You can also see a stack style liquid to liquid oil cooler on the righthand side of the engine. While there might be other oil cooler provisions, it is possible this will be the only engine oil cooler, similar to the setup on the outgoing A90 Supra. While oil temps aren’t a huge issue on those cars, there might be room for improvement by divorcing the coolant and oil cooling systems. Time will tell but we will definitely be looking at that when we are able to test a car.

The last interesting thing to note is the rear airflow illustration. It seems like Toyota has more cooling systems in the rear for the electric motor and transmission/transaxle. Thermal regulation of batteries and electric motors is very important in high performance hybrid systems. Most likely there will be a dedicated cooler on each side. One for the transaxle and one for the battery & electric motor.

CSF has seen tremendous success with our Toyota GR cooling systems so far and we look forward to continuing that with their new flagship model.

CSF is pleased to announce the new Turbocharger Heat Exchangers for the McLaren MP4-12C, 650S/675LT, 570S/570GT/600LT, 720S/765LT, 750S, and GT/GTS ( CSF #8212 & #8213 )

These new heat exchangers are designed to overcome the limitations of the factory charge-air-cooling system. The OEM coolers perform well for factory power levels, but they struggle to manage the additional heat from larger turbos and more boost. CSF’s upgraded units are engineered to be a Plug-and-Play “Drop-in Fitment” delivering significantly improved cooling capacity and faster recovery from heat soak.

A larger, more efficient core design combined with CSF’s proprietary cooling technology allows the system to remove more heat from the charge-air system. This helps lower intake air temperatures from power upgrades and/or hard use. The 100% TIG-welded all-aluminum construction offers improved durability and longevity.

Installation is fully plug-and-play, requiring no cutting or modification. These coolers also include upgraded metal rock guards for added protection from road or track debris. CSF offers the highest performance and best quality solution for McLaren owners who demand nothing but the best.

Favorite builds at SEMA 2025: Another standout build this year was @riamu_design’s G80 M3. While the G8X platform isn’t the hot new chassis it was 2-3 years ago, Umair put together a fresh take on the G80 M3 with his build. From the unique livery to the custom spec’d wheels, every detail was carefully curated to fit the overall theme and design. Naturally, his M3 sports the full CSF G8X Cooling Suite and has plenty of “Go” to match the “show”.

CSF is pleased to announce the new MK3 Ford Focus ST (CSF #7238).

The CSF teamed up with industry EcoBoost experts to bring you the best radiator upgrade for the Focus ST. They needed a solution to the excessive coolant temperatures many of their customers were seeing. Especially those running their higher power racing engines. CSF engineered the radiator for the best possible performance and fitment. These popular systems are now available through CSF’s world wide Dealer and Distributor network.

While the radiator was designed for super high performance race engines, anyone with a Focus ST can benefit from upgrading. Even modest power increases and hard driving can put a strain on the factory cooling system. The CSF Radiator is the ultimate cooling solution for any Focus ST owner.

Favorite builds at SEMA 2025: One of the most unique builds CSF was a part of this year was definitely @_jaimeink’s Stout. This lowrider minitruck was a huge hit the Hoonigan lot, and this Stout is more than meets the eye.

Under the rusty patina lies more custom work than you’ll find in most SEMA builds. The frame was custom built to allow for the ground scraping ride height. Engine work goes far beyond the normal for this 2RZ including the hand made valve cover and intake manifold.

To keep the whole setup cool and allow for extra room in the engine, Jaime used two King Coolers (CSF #7065) mounted in the bed next to the air tank and compressors.

One of our favorite builds at SEMA 2025: @CAtuned’s founder @CAtuned_Igor has owned this E28 for over 15 years and was his daily driver for many of them. He wanted to restore the car with some tasteful updates to show his love for a timeless classic that has served him well. Using their own swap mounts, this 5-series now running a supercharged S52 motor and is cooled by our S54/S52 Swap Radiator (CSF #7211).
