CSF has been overwhelmed by the positive response to our Air-Cooled Porsche product line. Following the success of the recently released #8334 Fender Oil Cooler, CSF is continuing our mission to keep your 964 and 993 running cool, and now, keeping you cool as well.
As these iconic 90s Porsches continue to age, many owners are discovering that their original A/C systems are no longer up to the task. Leaking, clogged, or inefficient condensers are all too common. Even those with working systems aren’t as cool as possible due to conversion from R12 to modern R134a refrigerant.
CSF is proud to introduce the new OEM+/Performance A/C Condenser for the Porsche 964 and 993. A modern solution designed to restore your 911’s air conditioning and make your driving experience more comfortable.
Design & Engineering
Most factory A/C condensers from the 80s and 90s are now outdated in both design and materials. They were originally designed for R12 refrigerant, which offered far superior performance compared to today’s more environmentally friendly R134a. Even a brand-new OEM condenser is not efficient enough to provide a proper temperature differential with R134a. That’s where CSF steps in.
CSF has decades of experience designing and manufacturing A/C Condensers. This latest classic series product was designed in collaboration with our industry partners at A/C Solutions. CSF has once again applied modern design and manufacturing techniques to these classic Porsche platforms. The result is a condenser that fits perfectly, outperforms the factory system by a significant margin, and costs less than a new OEM unit.
CSF vs OEM
The new 964/993 Condenser utilizes a modern parallel-flow core design. parallel-flow condensers are far more efficient than old serpentine style designs like the OEM unit for the 964/993.
Key Differences and Improvements:
- Increased performance: Approximately 5% better performance than a brand-new OEM condenser and much larger improvement over a clogged or dirty unit that has been installed for some time.
- Optimized for R134a: Helps recover some of the cooling power lost in a refrigerant conversion
- Improved Durability: More robust design and construction materials
- Less Expensive: Around half the price of a new Genuine Porsche unit
